The Whale, Sea Life and Shark Museum is the only museum in the world that focuses on the personalities of individual gray whales. Gray whales reside in Oregon during the summer and also pass through the area during migration.

Based on the work of marine biologist Carrie Newell, this museum includes her extensive collection of shells, sharks, seabirds, sea lion, seal and whale artifacts too. The museum features a whale, dolphin, porpoise room, shark and tropical ocean room, and an intertidal display.

Carrie worked with Jean-Michel Cousteau and taught marine biology teacher for 20 years. The exhibits are easy-to-understand and suitable for all ages. You can also join a whale watching eco-excursion on a zodiac with Carrie or her staff for an up-close encounter.
